Good Morning, Parents!

I wanted to reach out to let you know that after my 39 week appointment, my doctor has decided to induce me Friday morning. I have a couple of appointments tomorrow that were scheduled today as well, so about 9:30 this morning I found out today will be my last day until mid-February!

Everything is totally fine with the baby and myself, just given family history and what she’s seeing right now she is more comfortable with a scheduled induction than waiting for Baby to come on his or her own so she can watch us both 🙂

I will be telling the kids when I pick them up from Music Class in a few minutes that tomorrow I have a few doctor’s appointments and that the baby is going to be coming sometime Friday or Saturday. I will send a picture and announcement to you all (probably via Mrs. Lopez or Mr. Waldie since my work computer will need to be left at school during my maternity leave) when I can!

Mrs. Lopez’s email is jlopez@hpseagles.net. I would encourage you to reach out to welcome her to our classroom community, and to introduce yourself when you get a chance. I can’t wait for her to have the opportunity to begin building relationships with each wonderful student in my classroom (well, in OUR classroom now).

Thank you for the most WONDERFUL three months to start this school year. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, patience, and teamwork you’ve demonstrated time and again while working with you and your child. I cannot wait to reconnect as teammates after I come back from doing my best to begin this parenting journey as well as each of you have demonstrated!
